About More Green
When I was leaving Costa Rica in early 2020, I looked out the airplane window at the green jungle coastline. Spending time in this place lifted a weight from my mind and body. I had wandered on green paths and roads without pavement or sidewalks. The jungle was green and full of life. I consumed food that was nutrient dense and unprocessed. I listened to the ocean. I listened to the jungle. I walked and didn't get into a car. Going to bed early, getting up early became my routine. My mind and body were stretched by getting out in the ocean learning to surf. I felt healthy, strong, and at ease in this environment. ​
As we approached LA, I looked out my window and felt overwhelmingly sad at what I saw. I instantly thought, "we need more green." Humans need to think more green: living green, eating green, taking care of our green spaces so we can spend more time in green.
For me, More Green means enjoying life in its natural, unprocessed state and doing our part to live as green as possible. When we live with More Green, we thrive.

A lifelong movement junkie, there isn't a physical activity that Tami won't try. She is a Certified Personal Trainer, and has a history of teaching yoga, as well as participating in competitive running, swimming and crossfitting. She also loves cycling, snowboarding, paddleboarding, bodybuilding, backpacking - and she is an intermediate surfer! Her passion is in helping people increase movement and hit the reset button in their lives.

Yohan is also an important part of the retreat planning process. He puts us into direct contact with Costa Rican businesses which is important in supporting the local community. Born and raised in Nosara, Costa Rica, Yohan has been coaching all levels and leading surf camps since 2004. Every year he works with his mentor, Richard Schmidt of Richard Schmidt's Surf Camps (based in Santa Cruz, CA). Yohan loves helping people get out in the ocean and improving their skills. You will never see him without a big smile on his face!
